Q. What are bending losses ?
:- Bending losses are of two types :
(i) Micro-bending losses :-micro bending losses occur due to the fact that the small bends cause scattering which cause mode-coupling to take place.
(ii) Macro bending losses :- The larger the fibre core radius and smaller the bend radius, the greater the macrobend loss.
